SEATTLE, Wash. — A Skagit County woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl-tainted pills.
According to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice, 22-year-old Rosaliana Lopez-Rodriguez of Mount Vernon sold counterfeit oxycodone pills tainted with fentanyl in Skagit and Whatcom Counties.
The pills are connected to at least two overdoses, including the overdose death of a 17-year-old in Bellingham who died in November 2019.
Lopez-Rodriguez faces a mandatory minimum five years in prison and up to forty years in prison when sentenced this April.
