BURLINGTON, Wash. – A 60-year-old Mount Vernon woman is dead after a car crash near the Skagit Regional Airport.
The State Patrol reports Karen Wolf was at a stop sign at about 6:00 Monday night on Josh Wilson Road, but she couldn’t see oncoming traffic to her right because another car was there waiting to turn.
Troopers say Wolf drove into the intersection with Farm-to-Market Road and was struck by a Dodge Ram driven by Levi Nicholl of Sedro-Woolley.
Wolf was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers don’t believe drugs or alcohol were involved and any potential charges are pending investigation.
