BURLINGTON, Wash. – A Mount Vernon woman was killed in a crash on I-5 near Burlington Tuesday evening.
The State Patrol reports 36-year-old Jennifer Scott was southbound just past Cook Road when she tried to pass a vehicle on the shoulder and lost control.
Her pick-up collided with the other car and both vehicles crashed into the median.
She wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
The other driver from Mount Vernon wasn’t hurt.
