ENUMCLAW, Wash. – Someone decided they needed a very large souvenir to help them remember their visit to the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

Forest Service spokesman Colton Whitworth says someone stole an entrance sign from Forest Service road 70 east of Enumclaw during a recent flooding event when there were fewer patrols by forest service employees or visits by the public.

He says the 4′ by 8′ sign weighs about 150 pounds and removing and loading the sign would have been at least a two person job.

The sign cost about $2000 and the service would like to get it back.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the National Forest Service office in Enumclaw.
