PARADISE, Wash. (AP) — Mount Rainier National Park is gearing up to return to full operations following the federal government’s partial shutdown.

The Seattle Times reports that significant snow removal will take many days to restore the two-way vehicle access to the Paradise area.

The road was closed during the shutdown, which ended after the enactment on Friday of a short-term funding deal.

The National Park Service says other parks, including North Cascades and Olympic National Park, will also open in stages with some services limited.
