ASHFORD, Wash. — Mount Rainier National Park may close on Sunday if the partial federal government shutdown continues.
Melinda Simpson with Rainier Guest Services tells KING 5 that if lawmakers can’t come to an agreement guest operations will likely shut down and the park will close.
It has been open with limited access.
Websites for Olympic and North Cascades National Parks say they’re open without visitor services, but they also say the websites aren’t being updated and may not reflect current conditions.
