LYNDEN, Wash. – A man wanted for murder in Colorado was tracked down at an RV park near Lynden in early June.

The Adams County, Colorado Sheriff’s Department says in a news release that a woman’s body was found in a trash bin in a rented storage unit near Denver in May.

Evidence led investigators to suspect 36-year-old Gregory A. Thomas of Thornton, Colorado, in the murder and they determined he had fled to Washington State.

The Bellingham and Lynden Police and Whatcom County Sheriff’s Departments assisted in the investigation and Thomas was arrested June 6th.

He was extradited to Colorado where he faces charges of 1st Degree Murder and Tampering with a Body.
