MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A program to assist Latino-owned businesses just launched in Mount Vernon.
A networking event Tuesday kicked off the Latino Business Leaders program led by the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce.
Silvia Reed, business development and foundation director for the chamber, told the Skagit Valley Herald that a lack of info and resources is challenging Latino business owners, and this new program will help bridge that gap.
She says the program will include more educational events in the future with a goal of building relationships within both the Latino and non-Latino business communities.
