BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Washington National Guard is helping to make sure Whatcom County’s most vulnerable are vaccinated against the coronavirus.
The Guard’s mobile team vaccinated residents of independent and senior living facilities in Bellingham last week and is holding clinics in Bellingham Housing Authority properties this week.
They’re administering 200 Johnson & Johnson and 500 first doses of the Moderna vaccine locally and will return with the second Moderna doses next month.
The 28-member team will also hold clinics in Skagit, San Juan, Island and Snohomish counties.
