OAK HARBOR, Wash. — A navy helicopter crew conducted a medevac rescue from Orcas Island Wednesday.
The search and rescue team from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island responded to a 47-year-old man who was suffering from head injuries.
They picked him up at Orcas Island Airport at about 1:45 AM Wednesday and transported him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
This was the 12th medevac performed by NAS Whidbey Island so far this year.
