WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. — An injured skier was rescued near Mount Baker Sunday.

A search and rescue team from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island responded to reports of the injured skier and searched along ridgelines northwest of Mount Baker.

They soon found the 28-year-old man, who had suffered a dislocated shoulder, and hoisted him aboard their helicopter.

The crew then transported him to St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham.
