BELLINGHAM, Wash. – One Whatcom County School will be opening its doors for the first time ever next week.

Whatcom Intergenerational High School will begin classes on Tuesday, September 7th for students in the 9th and 10th grades.

The school is a public charter school, meaning that tuition is free for any eligible and interested students.

Whatcom Intergenerational’s website states that the school’s mission is to connect students with community members in an effort to broaden their horizons.

The Bellingham school is one of 5 new public charter schools opening in Washington this fall.
