BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The number of new Whatcom County coronavirus infections reported by the state health department increased to 17, up from 8 each of the prior two days.
The data from Wednesday indicated no new deaths.
As of Friday morning, the county was passing four of 5 risk assessment dashboard metrics, including percent of licensed beds occupied by COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients.
The two-week infection rate per 100,000 residents stands at 44.4, above the state goal of 25.
