SEATTLE, Wash. — The battle over I-976 continues with new developments.

The City of Seattle, King County, and several transit agencies filed an injunction Monday to stop implementation of I-976 until a ruling is made on the first lawsuit they filed.

Meanwhile, I-976 sponsor Tim Eyman is taking action to ensure the initiative stands.

Eyman emailed county council members in 33 counties urging them to use their legal resources to support the measure and urged voters to do the same.

A hearing on the injunction will be held November 26.
