The new Sedro-Woolley library will have its grand opening on Saturday.
The library at 110 W. State Street will celebrate the event starting at 11:15am with Boy Scouts raising the flag in the library plaza.
Library Director Jeanne Williams told the Skagit Valley Herald that this event will take a weight off her shoulders, adding that the building is such an asset to the community.
A string quartet will entertain, library tours will be given and refreshments will be available.
The new library has already proved extremely popular, with806 new library cards issued and nearly 18,000 visits since February.
