BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The new swim dock at Bloedel Donovan Park opened Monday, just in time for the record-breaking heat wave.
The fundraising, planning, and construction of the swim dock was a community-led effort, spearheaded by the Bellingham Rotary Club, to bring the beloved “H” dock back to Lake Whatcom.
And with lifeguards back on duty, it is the first time either have been seen at the park’s swim area since 2004.
