A new tracking software meant to regulate the process of tracking cannabis from seed to sale is having crippling issues, that’s leaving many Washington businesses with no product to sell.

Aaron Nelson of 2020 Solutions, which has three stores here locally, says his stores are doing OK with product supply.

Nelson says the issues in the system cause holes and errors in the tracking process, preventing stores from being able to order in, or ship out any product.

The State Board of Liquor and Cannabis says it’s working to patch the problems, but Nelson says retailers and growers aren’t hearing much from the state and continued glitches will be damaging.
