BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A fugitive suspected of rape in New York City has been arrested in Bellingham.
A news release from the U.S. Marshals Service says 53-year-old Michael Hosang allegedly raped a woman for hours in Queens, New York, after he invited her into his home and beat her.
The victim reportedly escaped through a second-story window when Hosang left the room.
With help from the Washington Violent Offender Task Force, investigators determined that Hosang was on the run residing in a hotel in Bellingham.
Hosang was arrested without incident Thursday and booked into the Whatcom County Jail.
