LYNNWOOD, Wash. (AP) — Nine people were arrested after a fight at a Lynnwood tavern where a black DJ was the target of racial slurs and a physical attack.

The Seattle Times reports all nine people arrested early Saturday are white.

The DJ described the incident to the Times saying that a group of men came into the Rec Room Tavern, when he was approached by one who appeared drunk and who said, “give me the hard stuff.”

He queued up some Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath but a fight broke out anyway.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the men for crimes that include malicious harassment, assault, malicious mischief, and DUI.
