MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) – Prosecutors won’t file charges against a woman suspected of starting a fire that killed two children and injured 3 adults last month in Mount Vernon.

There’s not enough information to file charges against Kimberly Hughes, Skagit County prosecutor Rosemary Kaholokula said.

An 8-year-old a 6-year-old were killed in the blaze.

Hughes and her boyfriend lived in the home until they were evicted in July.

Kaholokula said they’ll continue to investigate and could bring charges later.
