BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Is your energy bill skyrocketing thanks to electricity draining air conditioners? Or maybe unforeseen life events have left your bank account in the red.
Puget Sound Energy has more than $5 million available to help eligible customers across ten counties (including Whatcom, Skagit and Island) who need help with their PSE electric and natural gas bills.
Through the utility’s Home Energy Lifeline Program, or HELP, about 31,000 customers have gotten nearly $14 million in relief.
Local applicants can contact The Opportunity Council in Whatcom and Island counties or Community Action of Skagit County to see if they qualify and potentially get up to $1,000 in PSE bill credits.
