The North Cascades Highway will offically close for the winter.
The Deparment of Transporation said they will close down the route for the season, starting Friday.
Snow has continued to fall in the pass and is foretasted for this weekend, making avalanche danger high.
When conditions permit, the highway will plan to reopen in spring 2018.
