MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A Skagit County Commissioner is the new chair of the Northwest Clean Air Agency.
The Northwest Clean Air Agency, which enforces air quality regulations in Whatcom, Island, and Skagit Counties, reports they have chosen Skagit County Commissioner Ron Wesen to be the new chair for the 2019 board of directors.
Wesen succeeds 2018 chair Brian Heinrich, the city of Bellingham’s Deputy Administrator.
The Northwest Clean Air Agency, besides regulating industrial air pollution, also gives information and services related to outdoor burning, wood stoves, and fireplaces.
