KENOSHA, Wis – The Northwest Indian College Space Center came in first place twice at a national competition.
The Lummi Nation College sent two teams to compete in different categories in the First Nations Launch High-Powered Rocket Competition.
Both teams took home first place.
They won a total of $15,000 to help defray the cost of the next NASA rocket competition.
They also got an invite and $6,000 for travel costs to go to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
