BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Property owners have a little over a month to pay their taxes.
The Whatcom County Treasurer announced the second half property tax deadline will not be extended and payments are due November 2nd.
After that date, interest charges and penalties will be added to unpaid tax bills.
The county extended the first half payment deadline due to the impacts of COVID-19, but the treasurer says expanding the second half deadline is a different situation as many cities, school districts, and fire districts have bond principal and interest payments due December 1st.
