OLYMPIA, Wash. — A nursing assistant in Whatcom County is in trouble for reportedly stealing money from a client.
The State Department of Health reports that in July 2019 the secretary of health suspended the certified nursing assistant credential of Jennifer Lynn Cortes for at least five years.
The department says Cortes was working at Alderwood Park Health and Rehabilitation when she used a resident’s debit card to make more than $460 in unauthorized withdrawals not for the resident’s benefit.
