FERNDALE, Wash. — Starting in July, Skyline Elementary in Ferndale will have a new principal.
The Ferndale School District announced Obadiah DeWeber, the current principal of Lummi Nation School, will take over the K-5 school off Vista Drive this summer.
“We had a very strong candidate pool for the Skyline leadership role, and we conducted a rigorous interview protocol,” says Superintendent Linda Quinn.
DeWeber, a semi-professional bluegrass musician and father of three, moved to Whatcom County four years ago.
