BELLINGHAM, Wash. — There was a COVID-19 scare at the Whatcom County Jail.
An offender told deputies they had recently tested positive for COVID-19 during the pre-booking process.
They were immediately put into medical isolation and given multiple COVID tests, which the Sheriff’s Office says came back negative.
The office is still waiting on results from another test issued Wednesday morning.
