SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. – There were some tense moments near Sedro-Woolley High School as officers arrest a convicted felon carrying a shotgun Monday morning, December 6th.

Sedro-Woolley Police post that reports came in about a person with a weapon a block north of the school at about 7:30 a.m.

An officer confronted the suspect but he claimed it was a pellet gun and ran away.

The officer ran after him and the suspect turned and swung the gun like a club.

The officer subdued him and found the weapon was a loaded shotgun.

Multiple baggies of suspected methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl were found on the suspect, who has been convicted of multiple felonies in the past.

Police don’t think there was a direct threat to the school.
