Officials again extend travel restrictions between U.S. and Canada

OTTAWA, Ca., — Officials have again extended the closure of the U.S./Canada border due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to social media posts by government officials, the two countries have agreed to extend the restrictions on non-essential travel at their land borders by another month, lasting until at least March 21.

That’s exactly one full year after the closure was first put in place in 2020.

Homeland Security tweeted that they are working to ensure essential trade and travel remain open.
