OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington’s allocation of the COVID-19 vaccine will be cut by 40% next week.
Other states are also seeing reductions.
Governor Jay Inslee said in a tweet Thursday the CDC told Washington about the reduced shipments.
He said the change is “disruptive and frustrating” and “no explanation was given.”
Authorities in Washington began vaccinating front-line health care workers this week and officials had expected to receive more than 74,000 doses next week.
