BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham fire officials have given the all-clear for lifting the area’s burn ban.

The ban will be formally lifted Wednesday, September 22nd at 5 pm.

Fire officials say that fuel moisture levels within the region have improved, allowing them to rescind the ban.

Outdoor fires can only be made using seasoned firewood or charcoal, and must be at least 25 feet away from any building.

Earlier this week, the Washington State Department of Natural Resources lifted the statewide burn ban on all forest land under their protection.
