VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) – Police arrested two people who were among those blocking train tracks to oppose oil trains and fossil fuels.
Demonstrators blocked BNSF’s main rail line on Monday, protesting a proposed oil terminal at the Port of Vancouver.
The terminal would receive about four, one-and-a-half-mile long oil trains a day.
BNSF Railway spokeswoman Courtney Wallace said BNSF Police arrested two people for criminal trespassing and other charges. She said tracks were safely cleared after an hour.
