BELLINGHAM, Wash – For the second summer in a row, Bellingham Poop Patrols will highlight proper poop pickup practices to help prevent pollution.

ReSources for Sustainable Communities will patrol four Bellingham parks on different days through Labor Day talking to pet owners about the right way to prevent park pet poop problems through proper poop pickup.

The goal is to reduce pollution of fecal coliform bacteria in local waters.

The first poop patrol is set for Tuesday , July 18th at Little Squalicum Park on Marine Drive in Bellingham.
