Operations stations set up in Sumas and Everson for flood cleanup effort

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Operations stations will be set up Saturday, November 20th, in Sumas and Everson for the cleanup effort.

The Sheriff’s office says they need cleanup volunteers and donations to help those in need.

The stations will be at the Advent Christian Church in Sumas (125 Front Street) and at the west end of the shopping center in Everson (200 East Main Street).

Sumas is well stocked with donations, but Everson and Nooksack need clothing, blankets, bedding, baby formula and diapers and toilet paper.

If you are not part of the cleanup effort, please avoid these areas.
