BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Overnight warming shelters are open in Bellingham and Ferndale.

The Bellingham shelter is at the Civic Field lockers rooms and will be open from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. daily through Thursday, December 22nd.

Emotional support animals are welcome but minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The WTA will provide free transportation to the Civic Field shelter from downtown at Commercial Street and Central Avenue each day at 6:30 pm.

A warming shelter is also open in Ferndale at the United Church on Washington Street.

That one is hosted by Ferndale Community Services and will be open through this Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m.
