TACOMA, Wash. — In the wake of the Parkland school shooting in Florida, a Pacific Lutheran University student is among students nationwide pleading with lawmakers to do something.
KIRO reports Gracie Anderson is working to raise awareness, and says she fears for her life.
Anderson says she’s not advocating for more gun control, or arming teachers, but all she wants to do is put this issue at the forefront of Congress member’s minds.
She created a Facebook page where her peers are photographed holding signs expressing their worries including, “Will my brother be next,” “Will THIS Parkland be next,” and “Will we be next.”
KIRO reports the page has gotten over 50,000 views.
Anderson says her message is aimed at just getting lawmakers to act.
