MOSES LAKE, Wash. — The store chain Party City is laying the blame on dwindling helium resources for why it’s closing 45 stores this year, including a Washington location.

International Business Times reports Moses Lake’s Party City is among those closing.

The Burlington location is still open, as only 6 of the 45 stores up for the chopping block were confirmed so far.

Helium is becoming hard to come by globally as reserves in Texas are quickly depleting.

Qatar and ExxonMobil are the other large suppliers for helium, and Party City says they’re working to secure a new supplier.
