MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A 21-year-old man is dead after troopers say the woman driving the car he was in crashed and flipped it upside down near Mount Vernon Wednesday.
The State Patrol reports 21-year-old Zoe Danieli was driving southbound on Pioneer Highway just south of Mount Vernon around 6 PM when she turned east onto a private drive.
The car’s passenger side tires went over an embankment and the vehicle landed upside down in a water-filled culvert.
Her passenger, Demetrius Sullivan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Danieli was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Troopers don’t know if drugs or alcohol were involved.
