EVERETT, Wash. – Paine Field is temporarily halting passenger service to work on repairs during low travel numbers caused by the pandemic.
Brett Smith, CEO of Propeller Airports, says they are using the “temporary disruption” to complete necessary infrastructure improvements to the terminal.
Operations will be suspended from May 22 through July 31 for gate ramp repairs and maintenance.
Smith says maintenance was going to be completed over a four month period, but now that they have only one or two scheduled flights per day, closing will allow them to finish the repairs at a faster rate.
