BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Payless Shoes wants to close even more stores as it files for bankruptcy and Bellingham’s location is among them.
The retailer said it was closing 400 stores when it filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in April.
Now, KING-5 reports Payless is asking a judge to let it close an additional 408 stores.
The Bellis Fair Mall location is one of the 14 stores on the chopping block in Washington.
