SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — PeaceHealth United General is preparing for a surge of hospital patients.
Epidemiologists told the Sedro-Woolley facility that a spike in COVID-19 cases is coming, and operations there are adjusting accordingly.
Hospital Chief Administrative Officer Chris Johnston told the Skagit Valley Herald that they are actively planning and preparing, so they can separate their COVID patients from their non-COVID patients.
That has included setting up tents in the emergency department parking lot for triage, and transforming the hospital’s day surgery area into a COVID-19 care unit.
