BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A person is dead after they were hit by a car while walking in the roadway late Tuesday night.
The State Patrol says a driver from Ferndale was northbound on the Guide Meridian near Smith Road at about 10:45 when she hit a pedestrian, who has not been identified, walking on the road.
Troopers don’t believe drugs or alcohol were involved and the driver doesn’t face charges at this time.
