OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) – Personal data for roughly a million people is compromised after a burglary in Olympia earlier this year.

Washington State University researchers thought the data was safe when they stored it on a hard drive in a safe at a storage facility.

The Spokesman-Review says the data comes from public agencies, including school districts and community colleges.
