BELLINGHAM, Wash. — More science and technology programs for kids are coming to Whatcom County.

The Boys & Girls Club of Whatcom County received a grant from Phillips 66 to revamp science, technology, engineering and math programs.

The Lynden Tribune reports the $265,000 grant will provide cutting-edge STEM equipment and curricula to help youth gain skills to succeed in a technology-driven world.

They expect each of the Bellingham, Blaine, Ferndale and Lynden clubhouses to receive new computers, electronic microscopes, robotics programs and 3-D printers, along with hands-on curricula.
