BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A convicted killer who escaped from a British Columbia prison has been spotted in Whatcom County.
The Bellingham Police Department reports Roderick Muchikekwanape was sighted at a Sumas gas station at about 6 a.m. today (Friday).
He was spotted at East Sunset and Hannegan in Bellingham about an hour later.
He’s a 41-year-old indigenous man, 6’0″, 217 pounds and was last seen wearing all black with a backwards baseball cap and a medical-type face mask.
He has been serving a life sentence in Mission BC for 1st degree murder.
Anyone who sees him should not approach or alert him, but is asked to call 911.
