TACOMA, Wash. (AP) – A Pierce County man who says he was aiming his gun at a car thief when he accidentally shot and killed his neighbor pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
The News Tribune reports Tobin Panton shot and killed Linda Green last year.
Panton saw someone driving off in his Jeep, so he shot at it.
Panton says he fired until his gun was out of bullets.
One of those bullets went into Green’s house and hit her in the head.
