OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) – Companies get the chance to test rideĀ self-driving cars on state roads now that Governor Inslee signed an executive order.

It creates new pilot programs.

The Department of Licensing must be ready within the next 60 days to accept applications.

Inslee signed the order at a Bellevue company that makes high-resolution radar that could be used in driverless cars.

Inslee says this a way to bring more companies in a growing industry to the state.
