FERNDALE, Wash. — The Ferndale School district plans to bring some students back to the classroom in mid-October.
Ferndale Schools Superintendent Dr. Linda Quinn says the district has been working on transition plans since last summer and are looking forward to seeing students back on campus.
Students in developmental pre-school, life skills classrooms, self-contained behavior classrooms or those with complex IEPs or are English language learners are scheduled to return on October 19th.
Also on October 19, all kindergarteners will start the hybrid model that includes two days per week of in-person learning.
First graders will start the hybrid model on October 26th, and second through 5th grade students start the hybrid model in early November.
The district is still working on plans for starting in-person learning at the secondary level.
