MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A Mount Vernon man who told police it was “God’s will” that he “strike down” his girlfriend was charged with murder Monday after police found her beheaded on Sunday.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports Timothy P. Hernandez was found the same day at the Cascade Mall in Burlington with a 3-year-old girl he shared with the victim, Vanessa Cons.
Court documents show the child told officers Hernandez cut Cons with scissors, and that Hernandez said God told him to do it.
Cons suffered multiple stab wounds and a bloody butcher knife was found in the sink.
